Alex Feltes

Alex is an environmental storyteller, content creator, and self-proclaimed nature nerd based in San Diego, California.

She earned a degree in Conservation Biology from St. Lawrence University and a Master’s in Environmental Journalism from the University of Colorado Boulder, blending scientific expertise with a passion for communicating the natural world.

She currently serves as the Digital Communications Specialist at the Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, where she brings the wonders of the ocean to life—one story, post, and photo at a time.

In her free time, you can find her snorkeling, hiking, looking for bugs or simply sipping on espresso.
